Northerners will Vote for Jonathan – Sokoto Aspirant

A House of Representatives aspirant for the Tambuwal/Kebbe Federal constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto state, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar-Alhaji, Monday said the people of the North would vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, despite opposition by some Northern elders.
He also said Nigerians would enjoy more dividends of democracy if they re-elected Jonathan in 2015.
Speaking with THISDAY in an interview in Sokoto, Alhaji noted that Nigeria was facing a serious challenge in its history as a result of the insurgency in the North-east, adding that northerners would vote massively for Jonathan in spite of the antagonism by some leaders in the region.
He maintained that Jonathan was doing very well considering the security situation in the North, saying with the help of more intellectuals coming into his cabinet, he would perform better for the benefit of Nigerians.
