Tambuwal Attends APC Stakeholders Meeting, Prepares to Defect

The Speaker of House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Monday attended a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Sokoto state, where the party members failed to reach a consensus on the party's governorship candidate for 2015 polls.

THISDAY gathered that the meeting lasted for about three year hours, where the party stakeholders failed to agree on a consensus governorship candidate for the APC.

The Secretary of the APC, Aminu Bello, told newsmen that the party only agreed that a committee should be set up immediately to pick the party's flag bearer.

He revealed that the stakeholders agreed to zone the governorship slot to Sokoto South Senatorial zone where Tambuwal hails from for the 2015 election.

Speaking during the meeting, Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko, told the APC members that the Speaker had been in support of the party's activities since formation.
