PDP Governors Will Not Join APC, Suswam Insists
Gabriel Suswam, Benue State Governor, insisted that no Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governor will leave to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as demanded by Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“It looks like the APC people do not have confidence in themselves, that on their own they can make progress. So they keep speculating that PDP was going to join them.
“That shows clearly that APC is not a party that Nigerians can go to. If I am sure of myself, I won’t be asking for additional troop from the enemy camp to come.
“They are not sure, they know they will not win until the PDP joins them even now with the strength they have. Kwankwaso was in PDP, he had added value so to say. They now discovered lately that in spite of that, they can’t make any progress,”Benue State Governor said.
Suswam continued, “He didn’t mention me but no governor from PDP, rather we are having people who started as PDP, who are very strong like Iroko coming back to join the family they left for sometimes. We are going to defeat them roundly during the election. They are trying to convince Nigerians that PDP is going to add to them but nobody, not even a councillor, is leaving PDP to join the APC.”
On his part, Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, said with the taking of PDP in the South-west, APC would find it difficult to hold Lagos State.
Mimiko, a new entrant in the PDP fold, told journalists that APC was losing ground, while PDP was gaining ground in the South –west, including Lagos in the 2015 elections.
“There is no question about the facts that the PDP is gaining more in the South West. I am thinking now that with the configuration on the ground, apart from Osun that is already won by the APC, I think it would be very difficult for the APC to hold on to any state in the South west”.
The presidential election in Nigeria will be holding on February 14, 2015. This day Nigerians will choose both national and state-level leaders for executive and legislative arms of government. The governorship and State Houses of Assembly election has been fixed for February 28, 2014.
